Michael F Peterson Youth Leadership Challenge
Each year high school junior students have a chance to apply to attend the Michael F. Youth Leadership Challenge sponsored by URECA. This week-long event is full of activities that will improve life skills and generate leadership qualities that last a lifetime. Students selected will hear from amazing speakers, participate in rope course challenges, talent shows, and there is even a dance at the end of the week. Students will create meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. Juniors in high school going into their senior year may apply. To be eligible, the student’s immediate family must receive electric service from Garkane Energy and the student must be attending a local high school. Applications are due March 3. The camp will be held on the campus of Snow College July 10-14. If selected, Garkane covers all the costs of the weeklong camp.
